RECAP | ROUNDTABLE | Running data centers on autopilot: impacts to design, staffing and automation/AI

Introduction:
As we move into the post-pandemic period, more infrastructure operators are implementing strategies to increase data center and IT resiliency. Increased resiliency coupled with industry staffing concerns are leading operators to consider running data centers "on autopilot", in a true "lights-out" environment.

Rhonda Ascierto, VP of Research for Uptime Institute, joined the roundtable where attendees discussed the impacts and considerations of running a mission critical data center in a truly autonomous manner, and the implications on design, staffing, operations, monitoring and automation/AI as examples. The roundtable had a tremendous turnout with over 20 attendees with a lot of great interaction and engagement.
