RECAP | Uptime Institute APAC Network Conference 2017

The 2017 Uptime Institute APAC Network featured unusually active discussions and question and answer sessions.

James Soh, Uptime Institute, highlighted four sessions that resonated with the group. These, and all the other conference presentations, are attached below.

• LiKun Xing's presentation, "Common mistakes to Avoid When Creating Tier Compliant Design,” generated very lively discussions. Network members were impressed by his refreshing and frank talk.

• Network members also appreciated the Open Discussion with Our Consultants. It included an hour-long discussion about outages, and how enhance the infrastructure, process, skills and knowledge to reduce risk of outage in today’s critical facilities.

• James Soh presented “What Colocation Customers Want” by Jeff Fidacaro of 451Research, which Network members felt was very relevant to the members of UIN-APAC. Network members in attendance asked particularly that this session be made available on line.

• David Wang's presentation entitled “Top Challenges to Data Center Availability" examined how to address 14 real-world data center risks. The talk includes real-life operations, management, and audit experiences.
