2026 Data Center Operations and AI Survey [Results and Crosstab files]
Results from Uptime Institute's 2026 Data Center Operations and AI Survey (n=867) focus AI training and AI inference workloads hosted in data centers, as well as how AI workloads are being deployed in terms of data center cooling systems and rack densities.
The attached data files below provide full results of the survey, as well as a crosstab file of key findings as reported by data center owner/operator respondents to the survey.
- Survey Results files contain sets of charts and tables of results for all survey questions. This survey is presented in two powerpoint files:
- Data Center Owner/Operator findings (n=407)
- Vendor/Service Provider/Engineering firm findings on workloads hosted in third-party facilities (n=460)
- Crosstab file contains a set of tables of results for key owner/operator findings in the survey, broken out by the type of data center the respondent works in, the white space of that facility, their region, company size, and the number of data center facilities their organization manages.
