Equipment prices rise despite supply chain improvements

Data center owners and operators continue to suffer from supply chain delays but say that disruptions are less frequent and less severe than they were in 2022. In some cases, price increases for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and cooling equipment have pushed respondents to deprioritize sustainability projects, construction plans and the deployment of new technologies. Results from the Uptime Institute Supply Chain Survey 2023 show how operators navigate constraints, delays and supplier relationships.

The Uptime Institute Supply Chain Survey 2023, conducted online in November and December 2023, had more than 876 end-user respondents. This report highlights some of the findings.
