Are you interested in better understanding Expected Useful Life for data center OT equipment?

After our energetic Tutorial Roundtable session on Equipment Lifecycle Management, we were asked to put together a current view of expected useful life (EUL) for data center OT equipment. Working with interested members, we defined a list of 18 categories that are of interest to members as they build maintenance and replacement strategies for their facilities.

We have put together a simple spreadsheet that asks for basic facility categorization info (type of data center - enterprise, colo, cloud/hyperscale - and geographic location), and then for your current EUL estimates for the different categories of power and cooling gear.

We have 4 of the answers we are looking for in hand...and would like you to provide another! When we get to 8-10 responses, we'll publish a table with aggregate results, and update it as new data warrants. Once we have 4-5 responses in a category (enterprise or cloud/colo, geography), we'll send each contributing member a quick benchmark showing how their responses compare to an average of (anonymous) peer organizations.

Filling in the sheet doesn't require a lot of effort, but it will provide interesting context for important decisions! We hope you'll choose to contribute your perspective to our aggregate understanding.

Please take a look at the attached spreadsheet, and if you can provide us with estimates in the different categories, please send the sheet to me at moneil@uptimeinstitute.com.

Thank you in advance for your help with this!
