Intelligence Session. Edge Resiliency Approaches –
Tomas Rahkonen, Research Director, Distributed Data Centers, Uptime Institute Intelligence. Edge data centers need to be resilient to failures. This is commonly achieved by using redundant on-site infrastructure, possibly combined with software-based, distributed resiliency. Generators remain important, but batteries, solar panels and resilient remote monitoring systems have a growing role as well.

Spotlight Presentation. Panorama –
In this end-of-year update, the Uptime Institute Intelligence team will discuss current developments in the digital infrastructure industry, including new developments in digital sustainability post COP26 (2021 UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow), new initiatives in resiliency, the changing processor and server landscape in 2022, and recent outages and their causes..

Technical Presentation. 2021 Abnormal Incident Report Trending Analysis –
Juan Orozco, Uptime Institute Consultant. In this presentation Juan will review trends from incidents occurring in 2021 to help attendees identify opportunities to apply resources to best minimize downtime risks.
