Briefing Report

Colo and cloud contracts need sustainability data exchange

To comply with emerging regulations, and to meet corporate information requirements, data center operators must generate energy and water consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventories at the facility and enterprise level. The facility-level data is then allocated to their tenants and clients. In return, cloud customers and tenants will need to provide information on their IT operating parameters to the facilities operators.

The data tables provided in this report are intended to initiate discussions and debate on a consensus data exchange methodology among interested stakeholders, with the intent of producing a consensus data exchange process by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
