Data center operators with facilities in the Netherlands were required to make their first Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) information and key performance indicator (KPI) report by July 15, 2024 (see EED reporting deadlines are clarified). In its EED transposition, the Netherlands set the early reporting date and indicated that all reporting forms would be published on the Netherlands My RVO webpage. As of August 5, 2024, 29 reporting forms had been published representing 22 operators (one cloud services provider, two enterprises and 20 colocation providers) and 69 facilities (66 of which provide colocation services).
It is unclear how many forms remain to be published. The current forms represent only two-thirds of the 106 data centers reported by the Dutch data center association — and enterprise data centers are largely absent from the released forms.
