EED comes into force, creating an enormous task for the industry
The European Parliament passed the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) recast into law on September 21, 2023, and the European Commission (EC) published the final Task A report, Options for a reporting scheme for data centres in October 2023. The final language of these two documents sets out the energy management system (EMS) and the data reporting obligations largely as detailed in The Energy Efficiency Directive: requirements come into focus.
